Our Stripchat review for 2026 covers what tokens cost, what the Ultimate plan adds, which show types you can buy, how models get paid, and the honest pros and cons of one of the biggest cam sites online.
Stripchat ranked first for VR and modern features in our best cam sites roundup. However, a short list entry cannot cover everything. So, this Stripchat review takes a closer look. Every figure below comes from Stripchat’s own help pages or from independent sources linked in the text.
Stripchat Review: What Is Stripchat?
Stripchat is a live cam site. Its user FAQ calls it a free online community where amateur models perform live. Watching public rooms costs nothing. Instead, viewers pay with tokens for extras.
The site is operated by Technius Ltd. In addition, it is big enough to draw regulators’ attention. In December 2023, the European Commission named it a very large online platform under the Digital Services Act. That label ended in May 2025 after audience figures fell. Then, on October 14, 2026, the EU General Court dismissed Technius’s challenge to the original decision, as Heise online reported.
Stripchat Pricing: Tokens and Packs
Tokens are the site’s currency. You use them for tips, private shows and paid photo or video albums. Above all, you must buy them in packs.
CamRanks recorded the card cashier on September 20, 2026. It showed these packs:
- 45 tokens for $4.99
- 90 tokens for $9.99
- 200 tokens for $20.99
- 540 tokens for $49.99
- 765 tokens for $69.99
- 1,350 tokens for $119.99
- 2,350 tokens for $199.99
As a result, one token costs between about $0.085 and $0.111. PayPal buyers got slightly fewer tokens for the same price. Prices can also vary by country and payment method. Therefore, always check the total at checkout.
One setting deserves attention. Balance Auto-Refill can rebuy your last pack using your saved payment details. According to CamRanks, it can charge up to four times in 24 hours. So, switch it off in Settings and Privacy if you only want manual buys.
Show Types and Features
Stripchat offers more show types than most rivals. Here is how they work, based on the official FAQ:
- Private: a one-on-one show. Others may spy, but they cannot chat.
- Exclusive Private: a cam2cam session. Nobody can spy.
- Group: many viewers share a per-minute show, so it costs less.
- Ticket: a group show with one fixed price.
- Spy: watch a private show silently for a price.
Models set their own private rates. CamRanks reports a range of 8 to 150 tokens per minute. On top of that, some models stream in 4K VR. Models can also link Lovense and Kiiroo toys that react to tips. Meanwhile, the site works in mobile browsers, so no app is needed.
Is Ultimate Worth It? Our Stripchat Review Verdict on the Plan
Ultimate is the optional paid membership. Stripchat’s own subscription page lists unlimited private messages, invisible mode and anonymous tips. It also adds chat translation, stream previews, Magic Search and 24/7 support.
Stripchat’s page did not show a price when we checked. However, J-Cam Guide lists $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year. Keep in mind that you still need tokens for shows and tips. In short, Ultimate only pays off if you visit often and value privacy.
How Stripchat Pays Models
Joining is free for models, who must be 18 or older. According to the model guide, one token is worth $0.05 to the model. Payouts run every Tuesday, except international wires, which go every other Tuesday. Methods include Paxum, crypto, SEPA and ACH. Minimums start at $50.
Models also earn from Fan Club subscriptions, offline tips and album sales. In addition, Stripchat offers a DMCA takedown tool for leaked recordings. For a wider view of fees and processors, see our guide on how adult creators get paid.
Privacy and Age Checks
Billing is discreet. Charges can show as names like EPOCH.COM*Technius or SegpayEU.com-TechChat, CamRanks notes. Likewise, Ultimate’s invisible mode hides your username in rooms.
Age checks are tightening, too. In June 2025, Ofcom named Stripchat among providers that agreed to UK age checks by July 25, 2025. Consequently, UK viewers should expect an age check before entry.
