Our OnlyFans review for 2026 covers what fans really pay, how the 20% platform fee works, how age checks work, what the new terms starting November 1 change, and the honest pros and cons of the biggest creator platform online.

OnlyFans is the name most people think of first when it comes to creator subscriptions. It is huge, it is legal, and it is run by a UK company. Still, being big does not make it perfect. So, below we look at the facts: pricing, features, privacy, and the rule changes coming next month. Every figure comes from OnlyFans’ own terms, its filed accounts, or press reports linked in the text.

OnlyFans Review: What Is OnlyFans?

OnlyFans is operated by Fenix International Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, according to its Terms of Use. Creators post photos, videos, streams and messages, and fans pay to see them. It hosts fitness and cooking pages too. However, as the BBC notes, it is best known for adult content.

The scale is hard to match. According to Variety, OnlyFans had about 5 million creator accounts by November 2025, and 2.5 million of them were active that year. It also counted 437 million registered fan accounts, with 132 million active. In addition, the company said it has paid creators more than $30 billion over ten years.

OnlyFans Pricing: What Fans Pay

Joining is free. After that, each creator sets their own prices, and the terms say all prices are charged in US dollars. A page can be free, or it can charge a monthly subscription. Paid subscriptions last 30 days and cost $4.99 to $49.99, as Bustle reports.

On top of that, many creators sell pay-per-view posts and messages. Fans can also tip. Bustle reports a single-tip cap of $100 for new users and $200 for fans on the site more than four months. New accounts also face a $500 daily spending limit at first. Meanwhile, sales tax is added on top of the listed price where it applies.

Keep two more rules in mind. First, subscriptions renew automatically unless you switch off Auto-Renew. Second, if you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Prepaid Wallet Credits, however, are non-refundable.

How Creators Get Paid

The fee is simple. The terms state that OnlyFans’ fee “is calculated as 20% of the total Fan Payment.” In other words, creators keep 80%. That split matches rivals like Fansly, which we covered in our Fansly review.

That said, there are catches. If a fan wins a refund or chargeback, OnlyFans can take back the creator’s share. Creators must also meet a minimum balance before withdrawing. For a wider look at fees and processors, see our guide on how adult creators get paid.

Interestingly, the money mix is shifting. In its FY2025 UK filing, platform revenue from subscriptions fell, while pay-per-view, tips and messages grew about 20%, according to figures compiled by OnlyFansStatistics.

Age Verification and Privacy

Every user must be at least 18. Creators face stricter checks. To open a creator account, they must upload a valid ID and two photos of themselves. They must also act as custodian of records for everything they upload.

For age checks, OnlyFans has used Yoti facial age estimation, which estimates age from a live selfie. Even so, its record is not spotless. In March 2025, Ofcom fined the company £1.05 million for giving inaccurate information about those age checks.

OnlyFans Review: The New Terms From November 1

This is the biggest change for 2026, and we first covered it in our news roundups. OnlyFans emailed creators about new terms that take effect on November 1, the St. Louis Riverfront Times reported. Here are the key changes it and FanChecked found:
